Andrew & Ellie
Andrew is the Operations Director of SAT-7. This entails running a number of key processes for SAT-7 and working directly for the CEO, Terry Ascott. Before working for SAT-7, Andrew spent 13 years at IBM UK where he performed a number of roles from marketing and sales, to business management, gaining an MBA from Henley Management College along the way. Over the years Andrew had benefited from summer camps at Iwerne Minster, growing up in a Salt & Light church in Derby, running the youth work in a Newfrontiers church in London and spending a year with YWAM.
Ellie has over 12 years of experience in youthwork, initially with YWAM and latterly with Jubilee Church in Shepperton, a part of Newfrontiers. Ellie is an accomplished preacher and is currently finishing a post graduate certificate in Theology at St. John’s college in Nottingham (distance learning). Our three children are Jono, Lizzie and Katie.
Andrew & Ellie are funded by a number of churches, charitable trusts and your donations. Thank you!
SAT-7 is a Christian Satellite Television network – but this is not your stereotypical cringe-worthy Christian TV (you know what I am talking about) – this is high quality, sensitive programming for Middle Easterners & North Africans by Middle Easterners & North Africans. I’m not fan of Christian TV but I was won over – check it out for yourself!
For nearly 15 years SAT-7 has been working to illuminate countries in the Middle East and North Africa with God’s love. The ministry currently has four channels (SAT-7 ARABIC, SAT-7 PARS, SAT-7 KIDS, and SAT-7 TÜRK), each of which holds to a similar ethos – show viewers God’s love, give local churches in the region a satellite TV platform to educate and encourage their communities, combat misconceptions about the Christian Faith in the region, work inter-denominationally, and foster bridges of understanding with the much larger non-Christian majority without compromising the truth of God’s Word.
The Vision: To see a growing Church in the Middle East and North Africa, confident in Christian faith and witness, serving the community and contributing to the good of society and culture.
The Mission: To provide the churches and Christians of the Middle East and North Africa an opportunity to witness to Jesus Christ through inspirational, informative, and educational television services.
The Mission and Vision were developed by the ministry’s Partners (individuals, Churches and ministries located across the world) and its International Board of Directors, the majority of whom must be local Christian leaders living in the Middle East or North Africa. This International Board is the owner of the ministry and sets its core policy and goals. SAT-7 has ministry offices and studios in Cyprus, Lebanon, Turkey and Egypt. It also has fundraising offices in Europe, the UK, Canada and the USA. SAT-7 has more than 100 local staff working in its offices in the Middle East.
